UIU-ICSD

Since 2017, IDSS has been organizing the annual International Conference on Sustainable Development (ICSD), providing a platform for stakeholders from government, think tank, academia, international agencies, NGOs, the private development sector, and grassroots organizations to share practical solutions toward achieving more sustainable and knowledge-based societies.

The conference addresses critical themes including Climate Actions, Sustainable Entrepreneurship, Circular Economy, Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security, Inclusive Development and Sustainable Livelihoods, Ecology, Biodiversity, and Sustainable Cities, and Health for Life. The UIU-ICSD brings together policymakers, researchers especially young researchers, academics, entrepreneurs, development practitioners, civil society activists, postgraduate students, and networks across all sectors to share knowledge and experience under one platform.

The conference serves as one of the key initiatives for partnering with the government toward attaining the challenges of sustainable development and facilitating forums of collective action at national, regional, and international levels. Each year, the ICSD provides a unique opportunity to engage in critical discussions on sustainable development challenges and solutions, fostering collaborative networks and advancing interdisciplinary dialogue.
